In another close game, Sedbergh chased down 184 to secure a 3-wicket victory over RGS Newcastle. In the South East, state school John Hampden Grammar School are through to Round 3 with wins over Abingdon and Wellington, while in the Midlands Gresham’s racked up 369-2 in 40 overs against Carre’s with centuries from Thomas Howe (160) and Monty Waters (105).
