Rules and Regulations
I have attached the 2019 version of the rules for you as they haven’t changed in the past three years.
The key difference between the competitions is:
ESCA One Day Trophy – A two year competition for children in school year 9 and below.
That is, the Wiltshire County competition will take place in 2022 for players in Year 9.
The 2022 County Champions will take part in the National Round of the competition as Year 10s during the 2023 Summer Season.
ESCA T20 Competition – A one year competition for children in school year 10 and below.
That is, the Wiltshire Champions will be required to play in the Regional Round of the Competition week commencing 20th June.
Confirmation that there are no regulations with regard to player qualification on ability levels.
These competitions are open to county and non-county players alike.
Umpire Appointments – Finals Days – 16th and 23rd June
Schools will be required to umpire and score their own games for the qualifying rounds of the competition.
The County Final of both competitions will have WACO umpires appointed.
Entry Fees
A reminder that there is an entry fee for these two competitions of £10.00 per competition entered.
While some schools have already made payment, I will be issuing “official” invoices for fees next week.
Final Fixture Dates
To help me with the planning processes, could I ask you to update me on the agreed fixture dates as soon as they are arranged.
Matches Not Played by the deadline date
Confirmation that any match not played by the prescribed deadline will be decided by the toss of a coin.
